I found this gory yet fascinating gem of television history online today. It comes from Philadelphia’s WPVI-6 (we think), and it’s the January 22 1987 suicide of former Philadelphia treasurer Budd Dwyer. Some stations freeze framed it and allowed the audio to continue, WPVI let it run, and I think this is where the footage comes from. Not for the faint of the heart. Watch the video by clicking below.
